About LPN Global

LPN Global is a start-up media and digital innovation platform on a mission to transform how the world sees, supports, and scales local and grassroots solutions to land tenure insecurity. We operate at the intersection of storytelling, technology, capacity development and advocacy — championing the rights of communities to secure, use, and benefit from land and housing in ways that promote resilience, justice and development.

Through high-impact original content, digital media, and a forthcoming global platform, LPN Global connects land change-makersfrom remote villages to urban informal settlements — with the audiences, and partners that underpin their relevance, growth and impact.

LPN Global operates under three strategic pillars:

  1. Visibility for local and grassroots initiatives and their partners;

  2. Resource mobilisation from diverse sources including private, philanthropic, and multilateral actors;

  3. Capacity development for locally-led efforts to thrive and scale.

We are hereby building a remote-first global team driven by excellence, authenticity, and a deep commitment to justice.

Job Description

Video is central to LPN Global’s strategy to humanise land governance, communicate complexity through visual storytelling, and elevate the voices of those often excluded from traditional land policy discourse. Through short documentaries, vlogs, social-first clips, and live/streamed content, we seek to:

  • Spotlight grassroots action and community-led innovations on land rights

  • Engage new audiences — especially youth, private sector, and digital donors

  • Inspire investment in land tenure solutions by making stories accessible and compelling

  • Foster global solidarity with local land struggles and progress

Our Video Producer & Editor will lead this area of work — turning raw footage and bold ideas into powerful visual narratives that move hearts, minds, and resources.

Scope of Work & Responsibility

The Video Producer & Editor will be responsible for the full lifecycle of video production and post-production. This includes conceptual development, scripting, storyboarding, editing, and publishing video content for diverse digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

Video Strategy & Planning

  • Collaborate with the Chief Development Officer and Communications team to design a video content plan aligned with LPN’s editorial calendar and strategic pillars

  • Develop compelling visual storytelling concepts that highlight local land initiatives, community leaders, and global land issues

  • Participate in creative brainstorming sessions, supporting campaign and story development

Production & Editing

  • Lead the editing of raw footage captured by local contributors, LPN partners, or interviews conducted remotely

  • Produce short documentary films (2–10 minutes), vlogs, and social-first video content (30–90 seconds) for Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube

  • Add subtitles, motion graphics, branded intros/outros, and visual effects where appropriate

  • Optimize video content for different platforms and audience engagement

Remote Filming Coordination

  • Provide guidance to in-country contributors or field partners on remote filming best practices (shot framing, sound, lighting, etc.)

  • Review and manage incoming video assets, ensuring quality control and brand alignment

Digital Publishing & Promotion Support

  • Coordinate with the Content & Social Media Manager to schedule and publish videos across social channels

  • Provide video support for live virtual events (intros, sizzle reels, highlight reels)

  • Maintain a video asset library, and provide metadata and SEO-friendly descriptions

Collaboration & Reporting

  • Participate in weekly team check-ins and editorial planning meetings

  • Report directly to the Chief Development Officer and provide regular updates on production timelines and outputs

  • Work closely with the Communications Lead to ensure storytelling aligns with campaign messaging and voice

Qualifications and Experience

Minimum Requirements:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Film Production, Multimedia, Communications, Journalism, or a related field; or verified professional certifications in video editing/production

  • At least 5 years of professional experience producing high-quality video content for global audiences, preferably in nonprofit, social justice, or international development sectors

  • Proven ability to edit across formats and platforms, including short-form social content, interviews, vlogs, and narrative storytelling

  • Advanced proficiency in industry-standard software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut Pro)

  • Experience producing content remotely and managing post-production workflows with globally distributed teams

  • Strong creative direction, attention to visual detail, and understanding of storytelling structures

  • Excellent English language skills (written and spoken); multilingual capacity is an asset

  • Knowledge or interest in global development, climate justice, Indigenous rights, or land governance is highly desirable

Duration and Package

This is a home-based remote consultancy. The consultant must be available for regular virtual meetings and field missions (across time zones), and must be responsive to deadlines set in collaboration with the Chief Development Officer and Communications team.
