Despite its central role in development and humanitarian outcomes, land governance remains largely absent from global economic agendas. This editorial examines the challenges, gaps, and missed opportunities in promoting secure tenure and highlights the urgent need for multilateral institutions and global leaders to recognise land as a critical driver of sustainable development and economic policy.
